On Wednesday 12th May 2010, Informatics Ventures will be holding their 3rd annual investor showcase in the morning and over lunch, then in the late afternoon we are delighted to be bringing to Edinburgh the UK's first TechCrunch Europe event outside of London.




EIE'10 will feature demonstrations and pitches from 50 ventures across Scotland's Software, Web, Mobile, Informatics and Computer Science scene.

If you would like your startup/spinout/venture to be considered for a place at EIE'10 please complete this ENQUIRY FORM.

NOTE: completing this form does not guarantee you a place, the Informatics Ventures team will respond with either an invitation to demo/pitch at the event or a polite decline and reasoning for this.

Before you complete the enquiry form, please ensure that you meet the following criteria:

  • Your venture is based in Scotland (either at a Scottish University or your Company is Registered in Scotland)
  • You are a technology/science based venture with high-growth potential

1.30pm-2.45pm > Interactive Panel discussion: Commercialising Scotland's Science: From the Cool Comfort of the Laboratory to the Cruel Crucible of the Marketplace.

2.45pm-3pm > Prize giving for best demo' / poster.

From 3pm > TechCrunch Edinburgh event hosted by TechCrunch Europe at the Informatics Forum and after-party at Revolution.

  • Professor Anne Glover, Chief Scientific Advisor for Scotland (bio)
  • Ann Budge, Former CEO of Sopra Group and Advisor to Par Equity LLP (bio)
  • Anne Johnson, Edinburgh Informatics alumnus and early stage investment advisor at Cunning Systems (bio)
  • The panel will be moderated by Bill Jamieson, Executive Editor of The Scotsman and 2009 Journalist of the Year in the Scottish Press Awards. (Bill Jamieson)
